Health Public Notice

​The city of St. Joseph Health Department Clinic is implementing new clinic hours to improve service and efficiency for the public. The Clinic Services are located on the first floor of Patee Market Health Center, 904 South 10th Street in Suite B, with the exception of the Baby and Me Tobacco Free program, which is currently located on the second floor. Services are free unless otherwise noted. 

Immunizations 

Infant, child, and adult immunizations are available on a walk-in basis through the St. Joseph Health Department. Services are provided Monday- Friday from 8 to 11 a.m. and 1 to 4 p.m. On the last business day of the month, we are closed in the afternoon to conduct a mandatory, vaccine inventory. Please bring a copy of the most recent immunization record and insurance card. All children less than 18 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. For additional information on the vaccines available, please call 816-271-4725. 

Pregnancy Testing and Case Management 

Pregnancy testing is offered, by appointment, at a charge of $5, to all women, Wednesday and Friday, 8 to 11 a.m. and 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. Case management is a program that provides educational services regarding pregnancy. Temporary MO-HealthNet is provided to all women who qualify, in conjunction with Family Services Division and MO-HealthNet guidelines. Support with completing the application process is available. 

Sexually Transmitted Infections (STI) Testing 

The City of St. Joseph Health Department offers testing for Chlamydia, Gonorrhea, and HIV, and. Testing is performed by appointment on Mondays and Thursdays and costs $10. Call 816-271-4725 to schedule an appointment. We refer HIV case management to Andrew County Health Department, the regional provider of this service for northwest Missouri. 

Baby & Me Tobacco Free Program 

Baby and Me Tobacco Free Program is offered by appointment, to pregnant women who use tobacco or have quit during pregnancy. To qualify, a pregnant woman is not required to be a client in any other health department program and can benefit by staying tobacco-free and earning vouchers (up to $400 per person or $700, with a partner who also quits using tobacco).
