Following the passing of the Honorable Judge Ted Elo, the city has begun the process to fill the Municipal Judge position. The city is asking those interested and who meet the criteria to submit a resume to the City Clerk by email to pheyde@stjosephmo.gov or in-person to Room 303, City Hall, 1100 Frederick Avenue, by no later than 5pm on Tuesday, April 15, 2025. All submissions will be reviewed and potential candidates will be subsequently interviewed.
Applicants are required to be at least 25 years old, licensed to practice law in the State of Missouri and a resident of the city for at least one year immediately prior to any appointment to office. In addition, no person in arrears for any city taxes shall be eligible to hold this office.
