The St. Joseph Police Department, in coordination with the Buchanan County Sheriff’s Office, is applying for the FY 22 Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant. If awarded, the department would receive roughly $35,339, of which approximately 10% will be shared with the Buchanan County Sherif’s Department.
The funds will be used to purchase much needed equipment and supplies which will aid in criminal investigation, combat violent crime, and assist in promoting public trust between communities and criminal justice agencies.
