Testing
Sexually transmitted infection (STI) and human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) testing is available by appointment only. Please call the Health Department at 816-271-4636 to schedule.
The Health Department is able to test for chlamydia, gonorrhea, syphilis, and HIV. All testing is done confidentially and provided with risk reduction information.
Fees
A fee of $10 is assessed for testing. Missouri HealthNet insurance is also accepted.
Results
The Health Department utilizes the Missouri State Public Health Laboratory in Jefferson City to test the samples submitted. Results are typically available in one and half to two weeks.
Treatment
Onsite treatment is available for chlamydia, gonorrhea, and syphilis. Case management and treatment services are also available for HIV.
Education
Free educational information is available through our community health nurse. Persons who are HIV positive may be referred to receive wellness, education, and support activities through the regional case management program at the Andrew County Health Department.
