Prenatal Case Management

Pregnancy testing is offered, by appointment, at a charge of $5, to all women, Monday through Friday, 8 to 11 a.m. and 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. Temporary MO-HealthNet is provided to all women that qualify in conjunction with Family Services Division and MO-HealthNet guidelines. Assistance is provided as needed to clients, as well as provision of resources and referrals.

Prenatal MO-HealthNet Case Management is offered to pregnant females who qualify and Non-MO-HealthNet Case Management is offered to those not on MO-HealthNet but with an identified risk factor. The prenatal nursing case manager will provide supportive services for the client as well as information regarding the pregnancy and post-delivery period. The nurses serve as resources and referral guides for additional services that could be of benefit to the client.

The purpose of the MO-HealthNet Division is to purchase and monitor health care services for low income and vulnerable citizens of the state of Missouri. The agency assures quality health care through development of service delivery systems, standards setting and enforcement, and education of providers and participants. Baby & Me Tobacco Free Program

If you are pregnant, quitting smoking or vaping is one of the most important things you can do for your health and the health of your baby. 

Let us help you QUIT for FREE! Attend 4 prenatal sessions with your certified Baby & Me Tobacco Free Program Facilitator to earn up to two $50 gift cards for baby items by testing tobacco-free at prenatal visits. After delivery, receive up to 6 additional monthly $50 gift cards with continued learning sessions where monitoring confirms you remain tobacco-free.

Live with someone who uses tobacco? They can join and earn too! 

Pregnant tobacco users who want to quit, quit since becoming pregnant OR quit in the 3 months before becoming pregnant qualify; you must attend four prenatal learning sessions and up to six postnatal sessions to earn a total of eight $50 gift cards. Participants must agree to being screened for tobacco use in order to receive gift cards.

Participants in the Baby & Me Tobacco Free Program are NOT required to be a current participant in any other health department program. This program is open to pregnant Buchanan County residents.
